After five mask-clad gunmen claiming to be Hizb militants called Gazwat ul Hind Ansar commander Zakir Musa a traitor, a new audio clip reportedly featuring Hizbul commander Riyaz Naikoo is doing rounds on the internet which calls allegations against Musa as 'baseless'.

Riyaz Naiko, the commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, described allegations against Zakir Musa as far from the 'truth and baseless'.

“As you all know that recently a video appeared on social media where the speaker was stated that he belongs to Hizbul Mujahideen. He was rallying against Musa Bhai (Zakir Musa). He accused Musa of killing our brethren which is completely false and baseless,” Naikoo is heard in the audio message as saying.

He said that the men in the video have no link with the Hizbul Mujahideen. He accused that these are the same men who on the death of Hizb Commander Sabzar Bhat had said that Zakir Musa was behind his encounter.

“Neither they are the accomplice of Musa, nor do they belong to any insurgent group. They are the agents of India and enemies of freedom struggle,” Naikoo, is heard saying in the clip.

Naikoo accused India of trying to create confusion among the people of the Valley. He said that Indian agencies are using social media to create a divide among the Muhajideen and the local population.

“There are lots of Facebook pages who apparently look like Islamic pages but are working for the Indian agencies. The operators of these pages act as the agents of India,” he added.

Earlier, posters with Hizb seal appeared in South Kashmir calling Zakir Musa as a traitor.

The latest poster, written in the Urdu language with significant spelling errors has called Musa as a “traitor”, or “gadaar” the word spelled wrong, which has caused doubt about the origin of the message.

Naikoo also warned those who collect money in their name.

“We have been getting information that some people are collecting money in our name. We appeal to all the people not to give money in our name,” he said.
